Guided Electric Bike Tours and Ebike Hire

Guided Ebike Tours in Cornwall and Devon

Take a trip to the quiet corner where Cornwall and Devon meet. There’s no better way to explore this incredible area than by electric bike, with the powerful pedal assist motors taking the sting out of the hills. I will guide you on a cycle ride around the beautiful coastal surroundings – there are a number of gorgeous routes I have made in the area, ranging from easy 10 mile trips to all day adventures. This area has a multitude of really incredible places which we will visit on our journey, all linked together on sleepy country lanes with very little traffic. This area is extremely beautiful but the terrain can be quite hilly, and this is where the electric bicycles come into their own. With an electric motor assisting while you pedal, we will be able to explore the area in maximum comfort, giving you more energy to take in the surroundings! Just get in touch using the contact form below if you would like to book a tour. Below are some of my most popular routes, but I specialise in creating custom trips to suit you so just let me know if you have a specific request.

20 miles / Medium Difficulty / 4-6 Hours

Hartland Quay & Welcombe

A 20 mile loop on the rugged Hartland Peninsula in North Devon. Hartland Quay has a rich and fascinating history (which I know far too much about – my dad created the museum there!) with countless tales of shipwrecks and smuggling. If the weather allows we should have stunning views out to Lundy Island and down this spectacular coastline. We can also stop off at beautiful Welcombe Mouth and the Old Smithy Inn for a drink. There is a 0.3 mile stretch on the A39, but the rest of the route is on quiet single track country lanes.

22 miles / Easy / 5-6 Hours

Clovelly & Rural North Devon

An adventure through North Devon’s sleepy country lanes out to the historic and photogenic village of Clovelly. Clovelly has to be seen to be believed – the car-free village with it’s cobbled streets spills out steeply into the Atlantic. It’s a pleasant cycle out there and the route is entirely on quiet back roads in a part of the county seldom seen by visitors. It’s pretty flat terrain and sheltered by the large hedges which makes for easy cycling. We can pass by the village of Woolfardisworthy along the way to stop at the Farmer’s Arms – which does great food and drinks.

8 – 16 miles / medium / 2-3 Hours

Morwenstow & Hawker’s Hut

A trip from my home village of Woolley out to the stunning cliffs of Morwenstow, including a walk out to Hawker’s Hut – a cabin built into the cliff face in the 1840’s out of shipwreck wood by our famous eccentric vicar. This route is all on quiet lanes. Just two steep hills and the rest is lovely and flat. We can stop at the rectory Tearooms for a Cornish Cream tea or at the 13th Century Bush Inn for a bite or drinks.

23 miles / Challenging / 4-6 hours

Bude & North Cornwall

A more challenging cycle along the North Cornwall coast from Morwenstow to the seaside town of Bude. We can stop off at a number of great spots along the way, including Hawker’s Hut, Duckpool beach and Stowe Woods. This route has a couple of very steep hills which require a good level of fitness even on the electric bikes, but the views are definitely worth it!

Multi-day Ebike Holidays

If you are looking for an electric bike based vacation then you’ve come to the right place. We have beautiful accomodation on our family farm set in the beautiful surrounds of North Cornwall. It makes the perfect base for an electric bike based holiday as there are loads of fantastic routes available straight from the door. See the link below to find out more about our accomodation options.

Electric Bike Hire

As well as guided tours I also have ebikes available for rent at £30 per day.

If you want to explore the area for yourself without the guide, then just hire an electric bike and get out exploring! Range is 20-40 miles depending on power setting, terrain and rider weight.
